When not in Santa Barbara, Trish finds home away from home in coastal environs and the tropics.
Trish Reynales writes about people and places, culture and the outdoors. Areas of special interest include art and photography, architecture and design, Latin America, the Coastal Pacific and the Pacific Northwest, gardens, islands, waterscapes, and most anything to do with birds and fish.
A founding editor of several award-winning travel magazines, including Virtuoso Life, now published internationally, and Mungo Park, Microsoft’s premier online adventure zine, Trish also launched Pacific Standard as managing editor, led Caribbean Travel + Life as editor in chief, served as features editor of Santa Barbara Magazine, and has been a contributing editor to numerous publications.
Trish earned her master’s degree in journalism from the University of Southern California and a bachelor of fine arts degree from California State University Long Beach, and received Scripp’s Theodore E. Kruglak Fellowship in International Reporting for her work in Peru.
